Dental sealants
Sealants are a thin, protective coating that we gently paint onto the chewing surfaces of your back teeth. These teeth have tiny grooves that can be hard to clean, even with brushing and flossing. The sealant fills in those grooves, keeping food and bacteria out and helping to prevent cavities.
The process is quick, painless, and doesn’t require any drilling or numbing. Once in place, sealants can last for several years, giving your teeth an extra layer of defense—especially helpful for kids and teens. According to the CDC, "school-age children without sealants have almost three times more cavities than children with sealants."
